They called me a cpl weeks ago to ask me to play High School Prom music for them tonight. I agreed to do you because a) they haven't charged me for my dog and b) it never hurts to have favors built up c) they were going to give me a WHOLE $50 credit off my rent.

So I spend last night getting a playlist together when I MUCH rather would have spent that time eating border tacos, watching bad movies and being attacked by my dog. I did make my rent check short $50, too.

They just called me to tell me they wasted $1,100 (last week) on buying kegs, paying a DJ (even though they apparently couldn't afford to pay me originally), strippers and blow and only 20 ppl showed up.

So now I have to still pay them that fucking $50. They canceled on me. So fucking lame. Fuck my apartments. Douche bags. Srsly.

they hired a DJ for the Friday happy hour. she was just bitching "wah! we only had 20 ppl show up! wah!"

I told her "I had no idea about it..."
"well, we sent out email, put things on the doors... blah blah blah"

I had to cut her off and say "look, don't be mad at me that I, as a resident, didn't know. The old cares team got me information. you guys still have 2 week old info on the doors"

I never even got an email about it. The only reason I know about that happy hour is because Robert lives by the pool and saw it as he was walking out the door.

That's pretty lame dude. What's even more lame than that are residents who are too cool to show up for apartment gatherings. I've been to a few of our bbq pool parties (free bbq and free keg) and I was the only person there. No one else showed up or there were just a few ppl poppin in at random times. Slackers don't even wanna leave their apartment for free chit.

well, again, they made NO attempt (short of one post on a calender) to tell ppl that they were throwing a big rave last friday.

they even told me on the phone the other day that the old cares team told them not to do things on the weekends, but then they spend $1100 on a friday night w/ no promotion?

it's new ppl and they don't know wtf they are doing.

It's kind of funny how much money apartment complexes blow on throwing these stupid meatup raves. It's like they want you to hurry up and meet someone in your complex that can invariably ruin your fucken life. Majority of people who are murdered knew their killer.

Eh, it's solid business. For the most part, folks that know their neighbors tend to stick around and will let you jack up their rent more at the end of their lease. Apartment mixers are prime hunting ground for me - I'll get drunk on the apartment's wine, go around soliciting horror stories about management, and then lease everybody I can somewhere else. There's nothing like getting paid to drink somebody else's booze and chat up cougars.
