I think firestone is the only one I've had real trouble with. As far as big corporations go, most of the time its just a few people out of many that give you troubles. If you dont like who you are talking to, call back and get someone else.
EDIT: MCI/WorldCom/Verizon.
They are basically verizon now but when i got my first cell phone in 97 I was with WorldCom and they merged with MCI and changed my whole plan up and I got a bill for 700 dollars. They said that by using the phone I made a verbally binding contract even though I was never told of the change of service. I told them to fuck off and that I was calling a lawyer and they dropped the act real quick.

Kiwi carpet cleaners. Their "system" for cleaning carpet is a total ripoff. They basically just buff them then charge you twice as much as steam cleaning.
