I really think I need to ban myself from watching/reading the news for a few days. It's getting to be a bit overwhelming.

Sometimes I just get sad is all. You've got people raping/abusing/killing children, mass murders, serial rapists/murderers, babies getting brain tumors, kids killing other kids...so many bad things. I just know I've been hugging my kids a lot tighter lately.

If it makes you consider your family time more, then be glad.

You can't harden up and expect to be able to still give the innate care needed to bring up the good in children. Keep a watchful eye and keep em smiling.

I feel ya on that. I still like to think that there is still a lot of good out there. We just don't hear about it because human kind is more drawn to drama and choas it seems.

I haven't watched tv in about 5 months now. I feel pretty disconnected from many things, but at the same time I don't find myself as upset at the world because of media. Tit for tat, but you really find out how many extra hours in the day you have.

My 2 cents.
