Yeah, you could also post some of the verses in the Koran that call for religious tolerance towards People of the Book, and that call for peace, understanding, and harmony. There's shitty stuff in every religious text, but that doesn't mean that those particular verses are taken seriously by every practitioner of the faith, the same way I don't find Exodus 21 to be particularly relevant to my own faith.

but thats not what you said. you said the words were being taken out of context. many muslims will tell you that you can't pick and choose what parts of god's book you agree with, just like many christians would tell you the same with your good book.

there's plenty of good in the book as well, much like the bible. but lets not be blind to the reality. there are real hate filled messages in the Koran, as well as the bible.

you guys can sit here and do this dance all day, when the fact of the matter is both books are full of "shake hands while holding a knife behind your back" ideals, so why bother? No one is EVER gonna win this debate. Let's just say he was an extremist and extremists (on both sides) are fucking bonkers.
