Chat is not being cool

Don't know everytime I go in there I get a white screen I see the names of the people but can't see what anyone is typing. Do I need to download something to make it work better?

yea that started on my computer at work too hhhmmm.

actually i can see what everyone typing but there is just white where you type and where the list of everyone on is at

What operating system are you using? Does it happen every time you go in to chat?

If you are using Internet Explorer try going to the Tools menu, then select Internet Options. You'll see a little section called Temporary Internet Files. Click Delete Files... then check the box that says Delete all offline content and hit OK.

After that, close your browser. Then open it up again and try going into chat again. Let me know if that fixes it. If it doesn't I'll see if there's anything else I can do. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem myself though.

I'm using aol so guess that must be part of the problem.

i am using a win 98 machine

but it at work so i am behind a firewall

what i had to do was change the server in our network that i was connecting to it worked

by the way it was only happening 9 out of 10 tries

I can't get into chat with aol I have to use my internet browser weird.

That's why I was asking. The webchat does not work with the AOL browser. Our apologies for that but unfortunately that is due to limitations in the AOL browser. In the future just use another browser.
