User pics problem? - Dallas Dance Music - Dallas nightlife, music, tickets, and more

For the past couple days, every time I've gone to the user pics section, I've had a problem. The initial page comes up just fine, the 8 or so new pictures load up immediately. When I try to go to my gallery, or do a search, or anything else, though, the page loads, but the pictures never show up. The little status bar in my browser moves up verrrry slowly, and it finally stops around 20%-ish. It says "(12 items remaining) Downloading picture....." until I finally give up. Is anyone else having this problem, or do you think it's just my machine?

I've been having that problem too.

I was thinking maybe it was beacuse I'm on dial-up.

What do you use Jenny?

I get this problems sometimes, too.. I just figured it was on my end (even though I have DSL @ home and a T3 @ work).

I usually close all my browsers, and on the last window, I go into Tools>options and clear out my temp files and cookies. Sometimes works, sometimes, not.

Yeah, I figured it was my machine, but I thought I'd ask anyway, because I don't have that prob;em doing a GIS or looking at any other site with lots of pics (even porn). I don't go into the pics section that often, but I have been looking for a particular pic, and I can't see any imagesexcept on the very first page, and that loads up pretty quickly. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

I'm on cable, Stacey.

I'll try the cookies thing, MeatHead, hopefullly that will work.

OK, that worked for about 2 hours, Now it's doing it again, and I just cleared out my files again.

I don't have this problem in the Party Pics pages, only the user pics.

Is it on a particular page or is it random? Can you send me a link to a page where it happens?

It's happened a couple of times before where a corrupted image is uploaded that it causes problems like what you are describing.

Please let me know.

It's any page in the user pics except for the initial page that comes up when you hit the user pics link at the top. If I go to my gallery or do a search, the pages that come up don't load pictures.

I don't ever think Eiwe saw this thread again.

Anyway as I said earlier, we are having some major problems with the user pics section. But I can't really work on it until I get settled after the move. So just hang tight.

It probably won't be until July when we start getting around to fixing serious bugs in DDM.
