Hey guys..

We were upgrading the forums and it re-counted everyone's number of posts in the CURRENT state of the forums and some of you might find your number of posts lower, or higher. I know some of the top 10 posters went down...

SORRY about that!

I know how some of you are with the number of posts...
Just wanted to apologize for that before the nazi posters come after me ;P

Yep, unfortunately this was a side effect of some database changes that had to be performed when upgrading the bulletin board software.

Good news though is that the site is now up to date on all security related issues. For all the geeks out there we are now running Apache 1.3.24, PHP 4.1.2 and vBulletin 2.2.4.

I know that a few posts were lost, but I am wondering why all but three of mine were? I mean I guess it's no big deal, just wondering if theres any way to alter the number of posts that I have.

The thing that I realize though, is that if you did this for me, you would have to do it for everyone, and that would just be insane. Thank you for just keeping this board here for us! =)

When we upgraded the forum this time around everyones posts were recounted. That means that it only counted posts that are currently on the boards. Old posts that were pruned were not counted. Which means posts that can't be found on the board anymore were not included in your post count. This was an unfortunate side effect but one which could not be prevented.

Hey Joey,

If you don't hit the log out button then the board will keep you logged in until the next time you return. As for your name showing up in the currently online list, that list is updated every 15 minutes so there may be a 15 minute lag there.

Does that answer your question?

Ahh ... that's why there is such a big influx of "people" on the board lately ... 175 total today at one time...

Actually no, the influx of people is irrespective of that particular timeout setting. The timeout for people listen online on the front page of the forum has always been the same.

Hope that clears things up.
