OU's total offense for the game then: 210 yards

It's not a knock against Peterson, but he's behind a patchwork OL with an unproven QB under center and missing his all-world FB. They'll manage to win most of their games, but expect Peterson to spend a lot of time behind the line of scrimmage against Texas' DL. If you thought the defense stymied you last year, the unit is better this year. We're seriously talking on the level of the 1983 squad.

I feel Thompson will have better poise against Texas than Bomar did. And the Receiver corp is a little more experienced. You're right, the line might be our Achilles. And it was inexperience that got the best of us. Oh and speakin of Defenses, best believe we're comin with it too. Jamaal Charles is going to see Crimson all day and We're Turning either McCoy or Sneed out like you guys did to Bomar.

Yea I don't expect a whole lot of points this year in the RRS. Snead & McCoy both have a ton of talent and can run the zone read pretty well, but nobody can replace Vince. OU's D will keep it in every game this year, but PT won't be able to keep many teams honest on their run blitzing. The UT receivers are a strength this year instead of a question mark. Familiarize yourself with the name Jordan Shipley, because he's going to be burning DBs all year long. If he stays healthy - and that's the only reason he hasn't been starting the last two years - he will be killing everybody, OU and otherwise. The kid is just ill.

He tore an ACL freshman year just before the season started and reshirted, last year he had hamstring issues and they kept him out of the games as a precaution. I think they're gunning for a medical redshirt when he's a senior.

Yea, the guy is sick. He's 2nd all-time nationally in receiving yards and receiving TDs at the high school level, his hands are practically made of stick'em. You know the kid is sick when VY nicknamed him 'ESPN' for all his highlight reel catches.

I'll see what he does against Ohio St. Cuz, even though UNT might turn things around, week 1 is going to be a scrimmage.
