We thought it would be important to understand the rules & etiquette of the DallasDanceMusic.com forums... Especially with the major increase in new members.

.:| Bumping Topics - NOT allowed|:.

Bumping will get your topic locked. This is a discussion board to discuss the dallas party scene and as such should contain, you guessed it: discussion

Bumping doesn't add any value to a topic. If you want to keep your topic active then please post something creative and get a conversation going related to your topic. If the conversation attracts enough attention the topic will remain active.

Promoters should use the DDM calendar to post info on your events. It's ok to post an announcement to the board but please, no bumping.

edit: Sacrifice bumping (A bump _just_ to lock a thread) will NOT get your topic locked either.


.:| Forum Etiquette |:.

General Discussion should contain posts pertaining to the Dallas party scene and related topics. Please try to keep topics such as, what you had for dinner, what kind of clothes you bought or your favorite pets off and use the chatroom or the [b]Useless Blabber forums instead.
[*] If your post is not related to the forum that you posted it in, it will be moved to any of these forums. Here's a guide:

• General Discussion - Anything party & music related.
• Music/DJ/Producer - Music discussion. No genre wars please!
• Awareness & Politics- Constructive discussion only. No flaming, no bashing.
• Link Up - Roll calls, meet-ups & ATTN: posts. If you're new to DDM, post here.
• Rave Rants and Complaints - Complaint Forum, pruned daily.
• Party Reviews - All party, event and concert reviews.
• Useless Blabber - Jokes, fun, and boredom. Posts here do not count towards your user post count.

Ignore them. You will find various usernames signed on that only post rude and or racist comments. They only come on the forums to start drama and to rile up people. Don't take them too seriously. Just skip on to the next post.

*If you come on DDM as a troll, you always risk being called out by a moderator and having your troll account deleted.

If you have nothing constructive to say then don't say it at all. Again, go to the CHATROOM for that!

If you want to fire off a rude, mean, smartass remark at someones post, do it in private messages or email. If you want to ask a question to the original poster that doesn't benefit the rest of the board, do it in private messages.

We've seen far too many message boards turn into nothing but rude one-liners and useless banter. We want to try to avoid that as much as possible.

Please, Please, PLEASE, think before you make a post! This is an online community. You get out of it what you put into it. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all. If you DO have some criticism, then try to stay constructive.

If you have a problem with someone on the board, don't try to take it out on them on this public forum! We don't need more drama.

All posts pertaining to the abuse, use or selling of illegal drugs will be deleted to the best of our ability. Posts such as "Hydro!" or "I rolled so hard last night!" are not tolerated.

We still reserve the right to lock any thread, in any forum for any reason. My apologies once again but we want to try and run a clean board where people can actually have good discussion about the party scene in Dallas.

Please keep replies to this thread constructive. If you see that we should do something different, please speak up and suggest a solution.
