![]() | A few questions.
I'm interested in the new buddy feature, and all this subscription business, but I'm not exactly sure what either do. Any info is appreciated.

The buddy feature will let you add other members of the board to your buddy list. When you have people added to your buddy list it's easy to see when they are online and you can send private messages to them fast. If you go in to the user control panel you can see all your buddies to the left and you can quickly access their profile by clicking their name. You can send them a private message by clicking PM or you can take them off your buddy list by clicking the X. Now for subscription. If you subscribe to a thread you will get notified by e-mail every time there is a response to that thread. This is very convenient when you are participating in a very interesting thread. I would ask though, that you please don't use this feature unless the thread is extremely important as it does put a load on the server. If this feature proves to put too much stress on the server we will be forced to disable it. I hope that explains it. If you have any more questions just ask again |

Yes, yes you can. You just have to know the person's name on the board, with exact spelling, capitalization, spacing, all that stuff. But just put in their name, and that's all there is to it, like the old board. I know I'm not an admin, but I figured I'd save em some time.
