![]() | Pics in Useless Blabber
----Yes, I'm obviously brain dead! I've been trying for freakin' ever to post pics in the Useless Blabber thread. No go! I've tried loading them into MY ALBUMS & MY GALLERY. I cut the URL tag & paste it into the IMG window. Every time it just shows the URL link but no picture. Or I get that lovely red X in a white box. Or if I don't post it in a DDM gallery and just try to cut & paste the URL link directly from the host website through the IMG window, it just shows as a link. No picture! Very frustrating ! Please help before I start destructing.

Hi there, To post pictures just do this. After having uploaded the picture in the user pics section, go to the photo you uploaded and Right click the image. Then select "Copy shortcut". For example: One of the images you already uploaded would be: http://www.dallasdancemusic.com/phot...sunrise_3a.jpg Then enclose that url in [ img ] tags (without the spaces) like this: [ img ]http://www.dallasdancemusic.com/photos/data/500/4719sunrise_3a.jpg[ /img ] Once again, without the spaces after the brackets. I'm only using the spaces so it won't actually include the image in the post so you can see how to do it. If I takes out the spaces you end up with: ![]() There you go |

Ok, when you're in my gallery, first click the thumbnail so that you get the big version of the image. THEN right click on the image and select 'copy shortcut'. You'll know you've got it right when the copied shortcut ends in .jpg. Does that make sense? |

----Tried that already. After clicking on the thumbnail, making the image bigger, I then right-click the image. COPY SHORTCUT is faded...not an option, I can only click COPY, which is in boldface. I checked two different terminals and still the same.

no no no no no, this is where i had problems too. you dont click copy shortcut you DO, however, go to the image in the DDM photogallery right click the picture select PROPERTIES (bottom of the list, ya know) copy the URL in the properties screen this will look like http:\\...................>.JPG then insert it into the [img]^[/img] and it will be posted. like so:
