Damn do they not have a decent IT department or what? Most companies these days keep paperless document backup servers that retain that type of thing just in case. Any medium to large scale business should have at least 5 years worth of financial and tax data backed up off site as one of the most basic principals of being incorporated.

Yep, if I were you I wouldn't hinge my future on that company.....and keep a resume up to date and ready to go. Places that cant handle the basics have a tendency to fold up shop and disappear overnight.
