Its not just because he is supposedly a muslim it is other issues such as the whole hand over the heart and patriotism.

Though it shouldn't scrape me with any surprise if your prejudice extends to black people as well.

Source? I've read nothing that says that, only that he spent a couple of years at a Muslim school as a child and that his father, who left when he was 2 years old, was a Muslim. Everything I've read said that he never practiced the religion. Well, everything I've read from a reputable source.

Well I don't know what religion Obama is but I do know that the Nation of Islam is a cult of Islam... a cult consisting almost entirely of African-Americans. So yes, it has the same basis in Islam practiced in the Middle East but there are differences which makes it a cult.

Either way, I've never stumbled across anything that states he's a member of it or any other Muslim group. He has ties because of his family, but from what he and others have said, he didn't practice any religion at all until he converted to Christianity almost 20 years ago. I think it's going to be really sad if his father's religion becomes the main focus of the campaign. Hopefully people like Madbreaker are in the minority and people will look into the issue themselves before jumping on the "ZOMG HE"S A TERRORIST!!!!!!!" bandwagon. Then again, the people most likely to swallow the rhetoric hook, line, and sinker are probably the least likely to vote anyway.

Well, I was going to toss up a Wiki source, as that's where I'd initially read that, but I just checked and found nothing, so I'll just leave my foot in my mouth for this. Good thing I didn't post that where it would actually matter.

But the point I was gearing towards still stands: a politician whose religious faith might vaguely or even explicitly reside in Islam does not a sponsor of terrorism necessarily make. That and madbreaker's skull is filled with packing materials.
