Let's say I wanted to buy a Laptop equipped with Vista that has Wi-Fi Capabilities. If I were to downgrade the OS to XP Pro, would that phuck with the Wi-Fi or leave it untouched.

Most likely a dumb question, but Wireless Networks and Laptops are foreign to me.

it would definately fuck with the device "wireless" unless you have the xp drivers (which you can't get off the support site on newer laptops, pc's... unless you pay the manufacturer to downgrade it for you)

If you are wanting to downgrade anyway, buy one of the new Mac laptops. You can install multiple OS's on it out of the box so you can have OSX and Windows XP on the same machine for the same price that you would pay for a Dell XPS laptop.
