birth control that eliminates one's period scares me. how would you know if you had actually gotten pregnant until it was too late to do anything about it?

i only say this because i had a roommate who got pregnant on depo and didn't know it until it was almost too late.

my period, while sometimes annoying, is a monthly reminder that my pills are doing their job. besides, i'm on the monophasic kind where you can skip your period if you want to.

I have not had a period is almost 3 years.
It is fantastic.
I can see how some would want to be reassured they aren't pregnant, but their are alot of signs when a women is pregnant.....
I usually don't worry about it, and if I do, I take a pregnancy test.

I agree that its eerie to me not to have a monthly. jsut doenst seem safe. i mean you have a period to disspell eggs for a reason. also never get on a new BC that shit always comes out a year or five later saying, "studies found that...." bad news shit. like losing bone mass.
