Sucks we had to give up Smitty and Jussi and Jeff and a pick to get him, but oh well. go stars.

Well I pretty much agreed with what the paper said today. Jussi was only good in shootouts and there aren't any shootouts in the playoffs. Smith was deserving of being a #1 goaltender and he wouldn't of got that chance in Dallas, unless he wants his career to be in Marty's shadow. Really all we gave up was Halpern. Richards has proven himself as a playoff player. And thats what we needed.

I'll be in section 101 cheering on the Stars!

Overall I think the trade is good for the team. Smith needs to be somewhere as a starter and he won't get that as long as we have Turco...although I do feel Turco only has a couple of more good years left in him.
