Thanks to child tax, EIC and bought a new house so wrote off all those expenses I got back 2.2g's but 1.4g went to the IRS for back tax that I owed. I still got a nice check out of it though. Next time should be even sweeter since I don't owe anymore.

LoL!!! it was a combination of having 4 dependents, a mortgage and paying on the student loan (interest deduction). we used turbotax for the first time this year. i'm hooked! it's super easy and effective at digging out deductions for you. prints all related documents for you as well, and it was only 70 bucks*.

EDIT: oh and turbotax allows you to e-file w/direct deposit. for 30 bucks, I had my money is about 9 days.
