Hawks v Celtics. As much as I love to HATE the Celtics, you can't take away from what Garnett and Allen have done for this team.

HAHA. I feel for Tmac. Dude is Kevin Garnett of the South, but no one to carry the fire along with him. My step-dad is rooting for them, but I told him that unless those fools decide that they want to rebound and get a deeper bench out of thin air, they aren't going anywhere.

There are some politics at work against them as well. Yao showed up at the game on Sunday, but is sidelining it in hopes of being well for the Olympics. Well enough to play for the world, but not for YOUR team?

btw. the SA-PHO was an instant classic. After the game ended, they showed it on ESPN classic at some ungodly hour in the morning. That will be the series of the playoffs.

My Dad and I were talking about this a few weeks ago: I think part of the problem with the NBA not getting good post-season ratings is that the playoffs take sooo long. It's hard for me to get excited about a first seven game series.

We thought it would be more fun to have a NCAA tournament - one game, single elimination. You could spread the games out over a few weeks, but wouldn't it give more urgency to the teams - and more fun for the fans? Home court would really mean something too.

The Championship then could be like a best of five or something.
