Cowboys agree on deal to acquire Pacman from Titans

The Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans have agreed in principle on a trade for suspended cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, sources told ESPN on Wednesday.

Dallas will send its fourth-round pick in Saturday's draft to the Titans for Jones.

There are also conditions attached to the trade related to Jones being reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and how much he plays for the Cowboys. If he plays a significant amount of time in 2008, the Titans will get an additional pick from the Cowboys in 2009.

If he doesn't get reinstated by the NFL, the Titans will send an undisclosed 2009 draft pick back to the Cowboys.

Also, Pacman has reached a financial settlement with the Titans regarding his contract situation. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Jones must pay $500,000 to a charity chosen by the Titans sometime in the next two years. He will receive a new contract from the Cowboys.

It's highly likely... there will be some major restructuring of contracts to make it work, but CJ has already said he wanted out of Cinci and would like to go to the Cowboys.

All Jerry has to do is convince the Bengals orginization that keeping him there would be foolish and I think a 1st and a 3rd would definitely help coerce them.

If Felix Jones is still there for 28th overall, I say the Cowboys will pick him up. Unless we have to trade both first picks for a veteran WR.... but then that's putting a lot of faith on Pacman playing or a lot of faith in a 2nd/3rd round corner.

IMO CJ/RW/Boldin isn't worth both 1st round picks.... there are other areas that need to be addressed.

they just told Washington no, and you think they will say yes to Jerry. Besides that 2009 pick Washington was trying to give them could have been a 1st round pick if certain performance levels were met by the team & Chad himself. Jerry won't do that. the only thing Cincy might do is panic when say a team with a pick or two to burn comes up on the board. I can see that maybe happening only with Cincy saying damn we got no Chris Henry, CJ holding out or not playing, and at least we have a WR to place in the lineup who is 1st round worthy.


I still say RW is prolly gonna be the WR who ends up here. I believe he'll get Felix Jones.

CJ is not coming to Dallas. Dallas is going to take a RB with their 1st 1st rounder, and a CB or WR with their 2nd 1st rounder.


or a CB and WR in the 1st, and RB in the 2nd.
