congrats on the new Japanese maple. Word of advice when it comes to Bloodgoods... they can't take direct Tx sun until they fully mature..then they can have full afternoon sun. I had a beautiful 15' in my back yard.

that's not an actual photo of my yard, but the seed is the same. It is only about half and inch tall with 2 or 3 leaves. The spot it's in now would get full texas summer sun so I think were going to pot it for now until we can figure out a good spot for it.

I did that with an oak that sprouted up ... fucker died when it got about 1' tall
