Well, it's not like the toddler can defend itself. It's essentially shooting someone to prevent a murder so I understand that portion. I'm not going to blame the people who stopped to help. It was a dark country road and they were running up on some crazy who's punching and kicking something that appeared to be a toddler (which was probably hard to identify in the dark). I doubt they had much time to do anything but call the cops. Even then, if someones beating a toddler at full bore there's really no saving the toddler anyway.

Why nobody stomped this guys guts out for beating the shit out of a toddler before the cops arrived is beyond me.

He was stomping, kicking and punching him in the head.

And nobody did anything.

No way this could have happened here; not with all the "permit to carry" we have floating around.

But how can a pair of police officers, who are trained in apprehending aggressors using non-lethal force unless their lives are in risk, say that there was no other option but to shoot an unarmed man dead?
