I got my Passport last Friday and now I'm trying to narrow down my choices as to where I want to visit. I'm going to try to go next year so it should give me some time to save loot, deal with currency exchanges, get a hookup on flt, ho(s)tel, expenses, visas(if needed) etc.

I've narrowed my choices down to the following countries listed in the poll and need help picking one.

If you've been to any of these places, any hints & tips would be greatly appreciated.

my choices would be anywhere with a nice beach - greece, spain, brazil?

Come with me down to Rio in febuary for carnival.. I'll be there for two months. Got the same funrnished apt. I had when i was living there.. Only problem is tickets get a little expensive that time of year..

Yeah I was thinkin about those places too. However, Italy's #1 on my list at the moment.

How often do you go down there senor? What's the protocol on getting a visa?

And Argentina/Brazil's just expensive to fly to right now: And it's their WINTER right now.

Man that's a lot of great choices.....I chose The Netherlands because it's one of the two places I've been on the list and it's amazing there.

Visa is easy just get your travel plans together and send your passport and itenerary to to the Brazillian counsulate in Houston.. Good for 90 day visits for 3 years.. Haven't been there since I moved back in 01 but trust me it's awesome.. Plus we can go to the Maracana and catch a club game or if we're lucky an international friendly. Ohh and I can take u sight seeing and by that I mean the coppacabana beach.

Well I'm gonna start making this a once a year thing.. Mom is talking about buying a summer vacation home down there

Well in that case, we'll definitely make that trip to Brazil. I wanna hit up Rio De Janerio and Sao Paulo. And I'll work a week in Argentina in that time as well.
