I never liked the place myself. Thursdays did go off but the layout of the place just sucked ass. Just when I thought the dj booth couldnt be in a worse place they managed to put it in a worse place.

im just not down with the " Hey you know what this city needs?!?!? ANOTHER ultra lounge!!" thing thats going on. Every city needs a nice legendary dive bar that you can just go to without the boolshit. A place just to be grimey. I dont want to have to worry about what shoes im wearing everytime i go out or just wanna go get a spur of the moment bevy.

If you think Dallas needs another place catering to the exact same people, playing the exact same music, thats basically exactly the same as the other places youre already going to ..........rethink it!! We don't need another fucking ultra lounge

Man. I said this would happen when the Vickery guys bought it. And I got so much shit from people on here about it. I said that they would make the place a douchebag haven.

All those people that go there now think they are in a seedy bar and Slip Inn is far from seedy these days. Seedy was two years ago when Phooka and A One were doing Thursdays, Squirt Fridays, Pappy Saturdays, me Sundays, it was packed all those nights, and you could find a baggy of coke on the floor about every three steps.

same thing happened to micks, i loved the old micks how it looked and everything.

then it started looking like they were trying to be a super lounge (not quite ultra) just don't dig on the new look.

but a lot of the same peeps would go there.

yup. and what's ridiculous is that people ask CONSTANTLY for Hip Hop in there, yet they don't want you to play it. Mostly white people too. I had a helluva time getting through a Sunday night when I wanted to play everything but house and hip hop. People just kept asking. So I finally mixed it in as well.
