Man, I am so going to start a website linking people to free downloads and charge them for it.

Depends on the software.

Linux while free and open source, has box setups you can buy. But you aren't buying the software, you're buying the extras that are put into it, ie, the box itself, any special add ons.
If I'm not mistaken, selling the base software is illegal isn't it?
