I think it's just an attempt at a shot at Russ... like they are going to 'come after him' in the ratings... which would never happen. It could also be an attempt to gain listeners (which they will need) by getting people to tune in and listen for them to talk drama about Russ. Either way, it's not real bright. Russ has way too many listeners that will do anything for him... as I said in the other post, there are numerous DJs on other stations who have taken shots at him on air only to be harassed for months afterwards by him... and mostly by listeners... even to the point that they have literally been run off the radio or fired for taking it too far. And even if that comment is regarding ratings... they can never even begin to catch him in the ratings game. The only way they would is if he goes off the air due to his legal issues, which isn't very likely either considering he hasn't even been indicted yet.

I seriously wonder about the sanity of anyone that would take on Russ. He's the worst kind of guy to jack with; he's got F-You money, a nasty disposition(if you're on his bad side), and plenty of time on his hands...not to mention his army of listeners. Pugs & Kelly will get a day of ratings and a lifetime of hell; Russ will be torturing them from another time zone well into the next decade.

I'm thinking the program director of the radio station wouldn't allow it unless it boosted ratings for both shows. It's all premeditated to suck listeners into the drama.

They are with a completely different company dude. They are with Cumulus. We are CBS. They have nothing to do with each other and they are competitors... especially in the afternoon drive slot.
