Eh, to me groups like The Cool Kids are just trying too hard. The concept could be cool in the right hands but in the end their music just falls short, for me at least. Not my thing I suppose.

Edit: I'll also add that my dismay towards anything "hipster" is not in their fashion sense but in their inability to make any music that's pleasing to my ears.

never could really get into cool kids couldnt really find a 'jam' that i wanted to play out, or would bump in my car. very mediocre. kid cudi on the other hand, can't wait for the real album to drop, it reminds me of San Diego.

yeah, 'real hip hop' is like classic rock at this point. that would be cool, a station like 92.5, but all old hip hop joints. seems like someone is missing the boat on that one. clear channel would never sign off on that. until like 2015.
