I got chewed out by this old timer in one of my favorite bars when I ordered a Jame - i - Son once upon a time. Kinda been picky about it since... weird how it stuck with me. Probably isn't a pronunciation in common currency anyway.... like "primer" - teaching aid... said "primmer" but probably now accepted as "pry mer"

That Macallan 18 is bad ass. If you ever see the Oban Port Cask out, bite the bullet and get a snifter. I worked at a restaurant where the owners and management insisted that we have everything in the house as a sales tool. It worked rather well. Plus we got to drink some really good booze.
The crazy thing is, I prefer a good single batch bourbon over a good single malt. I like the mellower whiskeys. That's why I like that Port Cask so much, it's almost sweet in comparison to other Scotches.
