this was a thinly veiled attempt to keep the poor poor bankers from missing a yacht payment instead of confronting the real economic issue facing the poor (which is the voting majority in this country).

the problem wasn't A.R.M's... it was a lack of low income housing. now where will those people live?

after the great depression it wasn't just FDIC that saved our a5s but government created JOBS like ccc and all the fed works projects like the hoover dam, cali irrigation system and all the other fine work done by the poor (back when the govt. realized the unemployed actually wants to work instead of today's trendy "poor people must like being poor cause they are lazy" excuse)

for those of you with assets, i'll just point you to the history of the Weimar Republic in Germany before Hitler showed up. HUGE gap between rich & poor. the rich didn't worry until there was no where to spend it (stores closed, no bread available, etc). when all the businesses dry up because of the economic gap, it may be the end of olive garden spending as we know it.
