anybody been there? I'm going at the end of the month for about 4 days and was wondering where some good spots were. I'll arrive on a Wednesday and get back to Dallas on a Sunday so I will be there through the weekend. I'll even be there for Halloween! I'm looking forward to that!  |

My boyfriend lives there so I've been there a couple times. Nice places to eat and hang out are in Country Club Plaza which is not far from downtown. I've heard there are some cool heterosexual venues around the Power and Light district. If you want something like Lower Greenville, go to West Port. Its full of bars, coffee shops and cool little off the beaten path retail stores. Where are you staying?

Been there tons. West Port is about the only place worth attempting to go out at night and have some fun, but don't expect it to get ravey. If you like BBQ, there are some of the best BBQ joints in the country there.

yeah, we heard they had some badass bbq up there so i'm going to have to do the taste test. ravey, not so much, just looking for some places to go halloween night and then our last night there for some drinks. one of the girls we are taking though likes "clubs" with booty shakin music you would hear on 107.5 or kissfm. I just want to find a cool hole in the wall bar.

westport is alright. careful as they do random roadblocks over there. the steaks and bbq are serious business so scarf. the rest of the fucking town is way behind. real nice folks though.
