he got so mad, and was screaming 'who did this?' and was convinced that someone messed with it and that it wasn't a computer mistake. he's my boss, so i told him it was me and we laughed. if he had said omg what is going on with my computer and thought it was a bugg or something, i might have let it go the rest of the day. he will be getting this from me for xmas

You can also do CTRL+ALT +(LEFT) or (RIGHT)

Last month i flipped everything in my coworkers office upside down
posters, papers, monitor, chair, keyboards the whole nine yards.
Also fun to put a tiny peice of tape across the optical sensor on people's mice

For awhile people here at my work were clearing each other's icons and posting a screen shot of their desktop as their desktop. The tickets generated were funny.

One fun thing to do to a new guy is to give him a few days to get everything set up on his computer exactly the way he wants it.

While he's gone (you need about 5 minutes if you are quick about it) reboot (just logging off wont work) the machine and log in as admin or as yourself.
go to 'c:\documents and settings' and rename their user profile to username.old or something like that.

When they log on to the machine windows will create an entirely new profile for them with all of their stuff gone.
Either keep doing that to piss them off or go back in and rename the profiles correctly to change it back to the way it was. If they are in IT they will probably eventually figure it out or they might end up calling the helpdesk and getting laughed at. RESULT!

Another good one my friend just thought of.
go to the users machine in the morning and throw a Knoppix Linux live cd in the drive.
It will bot the distro without telling you and the person will think their machine got imaged with linux
