i was classically trained starting at the age of 4, so i personally would recommend the school/class route, as it will also teach you music theory, how to read music, proper technique, etc etc etc

My dad's been taking lessons for three years now and is addicted to it. Fool buys a new guitar a week. I'd recommend his teacher to you but I think he had to quit to work at a better job to provide for his family.

how to (fill in the blank) on youtube works for a lot of people with a lot of things.

i learned how to tie a tie on youtube

or hit up earl bailey lessons, he's in richardson, ill have the number later, he is an awesome instructor at any level.

I would first learn to play Testament's - The Ballad and then go on to Van Halen's Eruption.

Be sure to take your guitar to school and carry it everywhere even though you're not taking guitar courses there.

Wear your Sepultura shirt with pride.

Work on your cookie monster voice.
