What's the difference to you?

A real friend gives you $$ when you're out of gas.

A party friend never calls but just talks to you when you're out but that's it.

Sounds about right. Party friends are peeps you see at placed you hang out at but otherwise don't really talk to. I wouldn't say they aren't "real" friends. They just aren't as close friends as others.

if we talk on the phone and make plans to hang out with each other (away from the club) then we're friends.

if we mostly talk online or say hi at the club when we're out, then we're still friends, but maybe not as close as we could be.

A tiny amount of my party friends are my real friends that I would bend over backwards for. Those are the ones that I trust no matter what. They know who they are, even if I don't show it, they know who they are. That's all that matters.

I rarely go out so I don't have any "party friends". I'm sure if I ran into anyone off of here we'd have something to shoot the shit and have a few drinks over though.
