I have a couple tunes actually. Constantly researching and finding shit. 80's wave, industrial etc. is my favorite movement for the Goth subculture. People are constantly trying to turn me onto late KMFDM, 90's industrial, and neo-goth but I have no interest in hearing it.

well Apop started in the 90s and then took off in the 00's. i posted Deep Red, that was his first hit.

i mainly collected and listened to 90s industrial and synthpop up to the 00's... for the 80s there definitely was good industrial and synthpop but so many other djs played that sound so well i stuck with the newer stuff that not many played.

there was actually a lot of good stuff made AFTER the 80s... it just had to go underground because the major labels stopped releasing it and clubs moved on to some extent... but it's always been played and there is still good music being released in those styles.

but i agree that With Sympathy and Twitch is their best stuff.. i dont understand why Al wants to disown that part of his catalog.

yeah and it sucks that you can't find people playing those tunes in clubs anymore. we're down to just the Church now and Joe will play some of it... but it's mainly the same 12 tracks or so... every once in awhile he might break out something different but mostly it's the same stuff.

i personally enjoyed it here like in the last 10 years when we used to have club nights throughout the week. we had the revolving Saturdays at Sandbar, Red Blood Club, the night in Arlington, and then the night we did. you heard so much variety... everything from powernoise, ebm, industrial, synthpop, new wave, in all kinds of things in between. dj emptyx, cyberina flux, per, :insect, etc etc... everyone had their own taste and we could hear it all.

kinda sucks that it's all over. there is still Panoptikon too... Angry John and Son of Sam and that other guy whose name i'm brainfarting on still play up there.
