funny that none of you have mentioned that the raids on the 3 ftw gay bars were all on the anniversary of the stonewall riots. doubt the cops realized the significance unless there is an angry closet queen on the force.

I dont think the other two bars were gay. The only other gay bars here are stampede, crossroads and the copa. I have never heard of cowboy palace or the other place.... so it was just one gay bar.

And the second protest is going to be at the conventions center downtown this weekend. I think Saturday, but you might want to doublecheck that. A facebook group called "rainbow lounge raid" can give you more info and keep you up to date.

and thanks for posting links as well. This is a pretty big deal here, so we appreciate the outside interest.

We got Stop 6 you guys have oakcliff, we have billy bobs yall have 2009/2007 or whatever its called. We have south lake, you have frisco. We have azle you have mesquite. yeah. we'll agree to disagree. when i think of hick shit i don't think of dallas. i'm thinking more like west texas or some shit. not the metros. when i think of dallas i think of pretentious assholes. so do most of my austin friends. ftw never comes up though.
