First, my tone in my first post didn't mean to come off as being smart, I aplogize for that if you took it that way. Second, I didn't take a pop shot at you, I offered an explanation as to what could have happened. I don't know you except for these boards, you don't know me outside of them either, so don't take a pop shot at me just because you are seeing this situation with a blind eye batting from the other side of the plate. I consider myself a pretty cool dude, and from what I hear you are too, so let's not go that route & keep from that since this is a little bit of a heated issue. Cool?

There is a big difference in 10 minutes in an emergency situation. However, that is not what I was talking about. Citations are handwritten and the officer that wrote it was probably looking at his watch, not the clock on the computer at dispatch (in fact I can guarantee that). I'm sure when this all goes down in court, phone records, radio calls, and computer times will be pulled and used as evidence for either side if the defense chooses to go that route. If the time on the citation is only off by 12 minutes, I wouldn't rest my case on that as I'm sure it's an acceptable margin of error. Citations get written after an event all the time. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but usually, the time is a guesstimate of when the situation occurred, not the exact second the citation was written.

I'm not choosing a side in this, both of them have holes and sound shady as fuck. But, let's call a spade a spade. If I'm a cop and a guy walks up and grabs my crotch, you can bet I'm going to put him down on the ground to defend myself. No one on this board was there, so none of us can say that this was done as a joke or something more.

When it's all said and done, I hope the guy comes out ok from all of this.

I doubt he was writing the citation as he was arresting the guy, the citation was probably written half an hour after the incident, when the chaos had died down. The time on the ticket isn't the time it was written, it's the time of incident, which the officer probably had to estimate after the fact.

Here are the times that are going to be brought up.

Time cops arrived on scene -
Time of citation - 2:10 a.m.
Time EMS was called - 2:22 a.m.
Time EMS arrived on scene - missing?
Time EMS left scene en route to hospital - missing?
Time EMS arrive at hospital - missing?

Once they get the EMS runsheet the other blanks will be filled and we will see just how off the time is. But seriously, I don't know how far from the hospital they were but I see the hospital arrival time being closer to, if not past, 3:00a.m.

Once EMS arrives, they have to contact dispatch letting them know they are on scene. If he had severe head trauma, chances are they loaded him using a long spine board which takes about 5 additional minutes.

So if the cops reasoning for him not signing the citation was because he was in the hospital that is almost an hour difference and in no way a "acceptable margin of error". When the times from the EMS runsheet get released we will see how everything matches up, but it sounds like the cop is a shitty liar and an idiot if he thought he could pull a fast one considering the extensive media coverage of the event.

Yeah, the story is that he was "resisting arrest" while he was standing around drinking water, so they threw his ass to the ground and he hit his head pretty hard while cuffing him and he suffered a brain hemorrhage. So then they called EMS and had him taken to the hospital.

If all the info is correct, the times aren't matching up to their story. So they are just digging their graves a little deeper before covering up with the dirt blanket.

my friend said after the cops showed up they were yelling & telling everyone what's what. some guy tries to go to the bathroom & they start beating him down like they were in haiti.

he said his straight friends were crying because they had never seen unprovoked police violence before. he said the cops beat down more than one person at the bar they were at. he said they were targeting smaller men.

ppl couldn't get out of their way fast enough.
