All in the media reporting. People dying from the flu isnt news worthy, people kicking off from the swine flu is. Someone else already posted it but....30,000 people a year die from regular ole flu. Last year less than 100 died from swine flu and so far this year under 900 have died. The regular flu is much much more deadly than swine flu.

Subject: Vital data about US Navy results of swine flu vaccine on ship


Data gleaned indirectly from anonymous testimony of Navy wives of the affected crew via the internet radio show A Marine Disquisition http://www.clipser.com/watch_video/1362067 :

1. Unnamed US Navy vessel put to sea in April with 347 man crew.
2. Entire crew was vaccinated with H1N1 Swine Flu vaccine shortly after they put to sea.
3. Crew sickened so severely that other ships had to respond to render aid. 16 Medical Dr.s put aboard from an unnamed aircraft carrier and other responding vessels. Total of 50 Navy personnel sent aboard to respond to crisis.
4. Two of the crew of 347 died – including the Captain of the ship (a Lieutenant Commander) and a Chief Petty Officer.
5.50 personnel sent aboard to help are quarantined in Navy hospital in Balboa, Spain after 10 of them caught the flu from the ship's crew. Two of the 50 quarantined are in serious condition at last report.
6. Of the 347 man crew that were vaccinated, 333 contracted the H1N1flu FROM THE VACCINE. Two died, as mentioned above, and 331 survived.Only 14 of the 347 vaccinated sailors did not show any ill effects from the vaccine.
7. Navy has threatened all the spouses of the ship's crew to remain silent – claiming all this information is classified. Some are whistle-blowing and that is where this information is coming from.
8.On the unnamed aircraft carrier that provided assistance, 415 sailors contracted the swine flu and are currently quarantined on board.
PLEASE pass this email along. The truth is that the swine flu epidemic will be created BY THE VACCINE. If we don't take it, there will be no epidemic. From this one test it's apparent that the vaccine as tested on that ship's crew in April is 96% effective at infecting the recipient with swine flu. Such an infection rate is impossible to achieve by any natural means. Though it only killed 1% immediately, there is no telling what the long term effects on those injected with the vaccine will be. Also note that mere contact with those that have been vaccinated creates a 20% chance of you contracting the swine flu even if you have not been vaccinated.

Some of the facts don't add up. The story says the Commanding Officer of the ship is a Lieutenant Commander but the ship had a crew of 350.

350 people is about the right crew manning for a large Cruiser, such as a Ticonderoga Class. But Ticonderoga Classes are commanded by generally full Commanders or Captains. Lt. Commanders often do command ships, but smaller ships like Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers or Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigates or Submarines that have smaller crews.

I don't think a Lt. Commander commanding a ship with a compliment of 350 is impossible, but I've never heard of it.

If there was any truth to the story, there would at least be a Navy Times story indicating it even if it didn't show the whole truth. I am no expert on Navy officer assignments, but an O-4 sounds pretty low to have command of a ship with 350+ crew.

I'm not one to encourage scare tactics or over reporting of statistics, but I believe the concern is not the number of people it killed last spring but the age of the people it was affecting. The 30,000 a year is mostly elderly if I remember my facts correctly.

In reference to the other posts, obviously not vaccinating your children is a personal decision that you get to make yourself. As long as a high percentage of the population is still getting their vaccines, the herd mentality will probably protect your children too ... but be careful for if you spread that "vaccines are dangerous" myth around too much, your children will end up at risk too ... all the herbs and chiropractors in the world won't be able to stop an outbreak of the measles or polio.

For me personally it was watching my 1 1/2 year old daughter and wife lay around with 104 degree temps for almost a week and then a large dummy realization, "hey, don't you remember that flu vaccine you've always skipped out on".

Yeah, needless to say, this family will get it every year.

This thread is about the new H1N1 Vaccination, not a flu shot. My friend has 4 kids just outside of Ft. Worth. They were all diagnosed with the swine flu. (they're all better now, no one died!) She didn't give them the vaccination, she asked her doctor what she thought about the vaccination and the doctor herself said it is too new and has not been proven effective at this time. The doctor did not recommend she give her children the new vaccination.

Actually my response was in reference to other people in this thread cheering the non-use of all vaccines.

I realize the H1N1 is new with limited trial information so I can understand the concern that some parents / individuals may have to an extent. However, the methodology of creating the new vaccine is not any different than the seasonal flu vaccine and it appears we have that science worked out pretty well.

The tools are there for people to avoid being sick. Some choose to take advantage, some do not. Once again, it's a personal decision.
