I think it has as much to do with perception as anything. If you keep a positive outlook, the world is going to seem like a much more positive place. In turn, you will have a smiling and happy demeanor, which will draw other positive people to you. The opposite is also true. If you're constantly walking around with a gray cloud over your head, only negative people are going to be able to stand to be around you. The people around you serve to reinforce your worldview, good or bad.

I think its important to carry a healthy "mid-line"...in that one was doesn't sway to far into a absoloute positivity, or into absoloute negativity. Simply because to much in either direction can be detrimental to ones life. Especially in terms of personal growth. I know people who are EXTREMELY positive on many things, but it comes off as being very fake, and at times draws from a "fake" mindset. These same people often shut out much of the reality going on around them, and sort of (for lack of better terms) lose touch with the reality and world around them. This often, can inadvertantly make them cold, to those who they "percieve" as being negative. Which, is just as bad as carrying a "negative" mindset around. I.M.O

if you're constantly lookingon the bright side, into the future, you're never engaged in the present, and just settle into a complete state of self induced, mindless, apathy.
