they're right. football isn't based on hypothetical situations. hell the lions could be 48-0 with 3 super bowl rings, from the past 3 years. but they aren't. football is based on real outcomes. |

[QUOTE=A-Dub;3909861]Some serious LOLs in this thread. Stymi you're a fuckin retard. Anyone who is a true FOOTBALL fan watching that game knows the Cowboys wreak of mediocrity. Penalties, turnovers, lack of hustle on both sides of the ball, weak coaching, poor special teams. There's no way in hell we could or should be 5-0 right now b/c it would be an embarrassment to the game. Embarrassment to tha game???? LOL.. If thats tha case then tha game has alot to be embarrassed since tha only 2 loses tha Cowboys have is against 2 undefeated teams(who tha league thinks are sooo amazing) that Barely beat a team is plagued with turnovers, penalties and lack of hustle.Even when tha Cowboys are at their worst they still are a threat to a good team.LOL!!!! We all know its not retarded to say they "should" be 5-0....not that its not tha case now but they easily should be.Again once they get their confidence back in which i think they will have after tha bye week,it will squash tha frustration which lead to turn overs, penalties and lack of hustle.

The '5-0' Boys have let two of the worst teams in the NFL take halftime leads. Against Carolina and KC (the two games I am referring to) they managed an astounding 10 combined points in the first half. Against Carolina they needed a pick 6 to ice the game in the 4th quarter. Against KC they needed a late 4th quarter TD to (for the the first time) take the lead. Since we are playing the coulda shoulda woulda game... Did you happen to notice that Austins two TDs came from fundamental football broken tackles? Im not trying to take away from his effort but those 'could' or as you like to put it 'should' have been 10-15 yd gains. MADDEN MATH FTW!!! CHIT!!!@!

Dallas can win if they just minimize mistakes. They made a lot of mistakes yesterday. Dropped passes, dropped punts, qb/center exchange problems, bad field position with punt returns, penalties, and probably lots more I'm leaving out. Point is though, is that alot of the damage seems to be self inflicted, and correctable. It's not like they're fundamentally a bad team that just can't hang even while playing at their best. They can hang, if they don't shoot themselves in the foot, and if they don't have any major injuries. The bye comes at a good time to work on all the things they need to work on that misfired and cost them in the first five games.

Have the Cowboys shown any of that? NO!! They are the most inconsistent team and it's frustrating to watch. Did you hear the stat that was brought up yesterday?? Prior to that deep route that Austin wrestled away from the defender, Romo had 1 throw completed longer than 20 yards. Every big passing play this season has been a 8-10 yard pass broken for a long score. The play calling is predictable and we don't stretch the field at all. Now, the penalties, turnovers, and inability to force turnovers or get any pressure on the QB is laughable and indicative of a team that is not well coached / disciplined. I want to drink the kool-aid like you man and hope we turn our season around but the fact is we've underperformed and to say if we made a play here or a play here we should be 5-0 is a joke. We could just as easily be 1-4 or 2-3 if the other team made a play here or there.

It's BS like this as to why non-Cowboys fans call us "sheep". If you want a great team you need to demand great performance from them week in and week out. If you're looking at the games and sayin "Oh, only if this happened or this didn't happen...blah blah" then you're a fuckin sheep and you are drinkin the Jerry Jones chocolate starfish Kool-aid.

I think dropped passes, dropped punts, qb/center exchanges, penalties are exactly what fundamentally bad football is all about.
