Acupuncture

Has anyone here tried acupuncture? What's it like? Does it work? Recommend a place to go?

I'm going to try it before having surgery on my foot!

pfffft. when western science gets better with nervous system stuff i'll agree with you, but they suck at it. & acupuncture is the only way to go for nerve damage imho.

let me just give one solid fact. you go to a western doctor & you have to tell HIM what is wrong. with an acupuncturist, you stick out your tongue & they tell YOU what is wrong before you even mention it (in like 2 minutes flat)

my old acupuncturist went on a field trip with her teenage daughter. the kid broke her arm & her mom used acupuncture before resetting the bone. so it made it bearable. went to the er anyways & the docs xray'd it & said well done, nothing more for us to do. even said the acupuncture made the bone setting easier because it had relieved the tension in the ligaments, etc.

so i have a new acupuncturist. young indian fellow. i think he's awesome. i wish i could afford to see him more often. treatments last longer than what i have had done with regular doctors.

i could go on about how acupuncture works & my experiences but i have work to do today.

I had an adverse affect to it with symptoms that included suicidal thoughts and erections lasting for more then 4hrs.

I hurt my back while at gym doing some shoulder press around 6 months back. It hurt so bad that I could not even breathe properly. Tried every other possible thing but it just got worse. Went to a chiro (was a bit reluctant because i heard they were whacks ) and he did this acupuncture near about my spine and within 5 - 6 hours, I was fine. I could continue my gym within 5 days of getting this treatment. So, in short, it worked for me.

It works for alotta people and I will always suggest Acupuncture.
