 | dumb stuff my wife's students say... 9th Grade English Student: "What's 'plot?'" Wife: "It's all of the things that happen in a story." < long pause > Student: "I don't get it." she's been kicking around the idea of starting a twitter account for all of these stories similar to the blog kept by that professor at smu a few years ago. except that she's not going to dig into their personal lives. she's just going to share the dumb stuff they say. like the student who couldn't see the connection between Nike the Goddess of Victory and why you would name a line of shoes after her.

my kid said one of her classmates went up a teacher & said "so i heard your kid was dead" lady ran out in tears.  that is not cool. kids have no tact sometimes.
