I worked at State Farm doing Tech Support for the last 10 years, now I am looking for CSR/Call Center work. Mainly b/c I only did 1st level Tech stuff. But, I have a misdmeanor for breaking into vehicles, it was over 10 years ago, but still. Any ideas on jobs?

Well, it's going to come up during their due diligence, so you've got two options:

1.) Find a job that doesn't do due diligence.

2.) Be up front about it, and stress that it was a youthful mistake. Press your clean history and stable job since then, and hope that they aren't vindictive burnt out bitter fucks. If it was 10 years ago, and you don't have anything since you should be fine.

I advise option #2.

Good luck. I've been looking for 2 months... I have gotten 2 phone calls. And I don't have anything on my record, a Bachelor's degree, and years of experience.

It's a hard world out there.

^Do you know how many interviews I have gone on and not got the job, without a criminal record. Its just the economy. Lots of people are out of work. Many of them have even more experience than you. Its all down to who takes the least training and will do the job well for the least pay.

I agree that this isn't a job board. I would understand more if you had post count over 5K and had lots of friends on here. maybe you do, but try CL or something like that.

I think the jobless people should take to the streets and protest the war. That's where you jobs are, at least the money that would create jobs here in the US.
