Well, I think "art house" has taken on a new meaning as of late. From what I've read about Antichrist, there are some pretty brutal scenes in it. In one of them she slices off her own clit. So...yeah.

Art Haus is LOL these days. It's all boundary pushing via shock and less focus on art or pressing thought these days. Much in the same way that horror movies are no longer horror but rather shock value production, so have "art haus" films become. "Incredible Lightness of Being" or "The Piano". That's Art Haus.

Antichrist hardly pushes any shock boundaries. It's a really well done film that deserves commendation, and I wouldn't even consider it to be in the same league as Salo.
