Saw a sheriff walk out with a baby in his arms that had been missing for days today on the news in Florida. Seeing everyone's reaction and outcome to an already bleak story was fucken awesome. Life is precious and there's a lot of people out there that believe it still.

I will admit that Tricky has a point. His way of expressing it is totally offbase though. It's similar to the "patriotism" that was shown after 9/11. People who didnt give a damn about america all of a sudden became instant patriots and now those same people dont care again.

Stories like this bring out the emotional parts of us but THAT'S NOT A BAD THING. Sure we should also be concerned about the people that die every day in other parts of the world, the people that die every day in the middle east fighting a stupid war, but we can ALSO be concerned about the people that die right here, right now, only 150 miles away from us in a senseless act of violence such as this.

Tricky, I dont really understand how you can say that it means nothing that these people died. It does mean something. It doesnt mean anything politically, but it DOES mean something to the people involved and to anyone else who has the tiniest bit of human decency.

The sad thing is you and I hold a lot of the same views. However, I have to distance myself from threads backing you up because you sound like an egotistical, self important, self righteous prick 99% of the time because you have no idea how to vocalize your ideals and views without judging others.
