Word! I had all my pre and post deployment briefings at that theatre in '05 and '06. Plus many, many movies while we were locked down on base.

But we just got word that an in-law was OK and he thinks all those shot were actually at the SRC (Soldier Readiness Center) i.e. either deploying very soon or just returning from deployment.

I've stood in line after line for hour after hour in that joint as well.

from the DOD video that came out it was pretty clear that it was at the readiness center. Initial reports were incorrect.

Also one of the worst mass killings in the US happened in Killeen at a Luby's on october 16th 1991.
