I have severe issues when it comes to this. There has not been a single ex of mine that I've been with for over a year that I didn't spend at least that long fucking on the regular after we broke up. I think it's partially convenience and partially a form of emotional masochism. And, well, the emotional sadists/assholes/control freaks I've always migrated toward in the past have been more than happy to help me stay on the crazy train. So, I guess you could call it a very symbiotic method for two people to continue to ruin each other's lives and/or current and future relationships for an indefinite period of time.

But, um...I'm better now.

There are some people you come across in your life that the draw is too strong for. I can say this with 100% certainty bc we never actually got down to "being dickmatized/the dicktizer". That particular took many a conversations of "in the end - we won't be right for each other, so we shouldn't". If he hadn't have been the one to be strong enough to break it off for the better of us both, I can guarantee you that we wouldn't be able to think about each other even in the smallest of good lights.

I can't look at him/be around him at all. He is the case that I learned to walk away from. I still see him as a great person and friend, but we crossed that line and I cant go back to hanging out as friends with him.

i'm with you on this blake, once it's over then it's over. i've never been friends after a breakup with any exes i dated for awhile... there have been some that i just dated or whatever for a short period of time that i've remained friends with but if we were together for a year or more then when it's over one of us isn't going to want to see the other one ever again.
