Thread: dallas area clubs...

hi i just moved to McKinney from South Florida (near Miami) and i've been trying to check out the club scene around here but i've had a couple of disappointments. first thing, and i was kind of expecting it, was that the club/electronic music scene is kind of dull around here compared to where i came from. not only the house scene but also the dubstep and drum and bass scenes. there just isn't as much attention given to electronic music as there is in any of the other places i've lived. the other thing is that when i do find some sort of clubs or events they're either full of goths and weirdly dressed people and playing music like post industrial, goth, trance, or some really lame house etc. isn't there any normal people that listen to electronic music and just go out to party and have fun without having to dress up all crazy? where's the house scene? and the club scene? is it just not something people do around here?

i guess what i'm really saying is i've got to be missing something. i want to know if there's any good house clubs around the dallas area, or even if there is any. do college house parties with dj's playing good music ever go down around here? where can i find out about this kind of stuff. please let me know if you have any information

yeah i kinda feel the same way, but i grew up in DFW. and yes there are some college house parties that play House/Electro music...cause i do some as often as my friends let me use there house...lol. but yeah...something needs to be done.

No there isnt. Dallas doesnt support anything electronic. In fact, DJs caught playing any EDM are beaten with their headphones.
