A 17-year-old boy has died after attending an all-night dance party, known as a rave, at an empty warehouse in Little Rock.

Several partygoers said William Skaife of Hot Springs was unresponsive and convulsing when rescue workers brought him out of the crowded dance hall on a stretcher.

A hospital spokesman said the teen-ager was comatose and suffering from an extremely high temperature when he was brought to the hospital. The teen-ager was pronounced dead at 3 a.m Saturday at Saint Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.

Others at the rave said several people had collapsed from the heat as the crowd grew to more than one-thousand. Police said undercover narcotics officers had patrolled the party earlier and found no cause to make any arrests. (Associated Press)
