    I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear.

I meant writing the code to construct your own VSTs.

Not I, but I believe Computer Music ran a few issues on how to write them a while back.

I've dabbled with MaxMSP a little bit, but I haven't really produced any salient results. It's interesting to say the least, but I'd rather leave it to the programmers and just make tunes instead.

If I free up some more time, I might delve further into it...

I've made a few Reaktor ensembles, if that counts.

I'm terrible with code.. Mostly just cause I can't remember the format for more than as long as it takes for me to type it, thus having to look it up again every time I do anything.

Give me little boxes with wires.

Format is only neccessary if somebody other than yourself is going to read it. That's my problem... I can't write code for a team... I have too much fun making variables called 'Ding_Ding_Noise_Maker' and 'Inverted_Monkey_Spank'

Couple that with a few global variables called 'X' 'XX' 'XXX' and functions called:

    does_the_thingy()

    Yeah... It's a mess.

But like J said... Give me a knob... I'll tweak it. =)

Haha... sounds like my temporary song names.

I think I meant "syntax" instead of "format" though in that thread.

Ahhhhh... Temporary Song Names... Trey and I -forced- ourselves to come up with a scheme just so everything wasn't all over the place (It was getting out of control)

    We settled on:

    Greek Letter = Project Identifier

    Last Date Modified

    Work Performed

    IE:

    pi_06_02_2004_12_06_mastered_compressed_core_break beat

It's helped... Now I just need to get my wav bouncing / pool naming under control.
