WOW!! is all I have to say! What a great party!
I have to say, this party was the shizit! Beside the fact that I was completely worn out before the party even started.... I've never seen anything like this. The setting was awesome, in the woods with millions of trees, it was like a play fort for big people. The music was outstanding. Massiv did a great job getting all the musicians in on time, and from all over the world. It seemed at first that the show was really unorganized and it was going to be a crazy night (things were VERY hectic the day before and a few hours before I thought I might go crazy from all the confusion on the line up times and areas, etc. ) but everything worked out very smoothly and better than planned.
Beat Seed Land
AB - lost half his equipment, but managed to scrounge together pieces from a number of people to make the show an uncomparable adventure into the realms of live entertainment.
Spoonfed Tribe - was a delight as always, they have the best drummers! It was a tribal, hippy, love fest with dancing, fire, and all the best people! Mr. Resistor - did a Led Zep tune that was awesome ,they were very cool. Different, but cool. Kim (a friend of mine), did a great job spinning fire, and so did the Dragon Tribe.
Quirk - umm...due to my friend spinning fire during Mr. Resistor, I missed him.....DAMN! I'm really peeved about this... however, I heard he was amazing and that there's no way to describe what his trance does to the human body (this is a quote by the way). But the trance area in general was by far my favorite, the decor kicked ass, and the music was together .... sorry to those that were there at 8:00 and waiting around... that was my fault. Jamie, the opener, had to get a shower and all and I was running late, and I was driving, so there you have it.
DJ Nature - WOW! Can you say "fuck ya!"... dude, this guy is really amazing, he can scratch a record like nobody's fool! I swear ya'll, this dude was hot... it was a blast watching him go head to head with others at the hip hop stage...overall, the hip hop stage kicked major ass! They had a lot of old skool stuff and I always love feeling like I'm in Jr. High all over again!
Garden of Groove
(House stage) was kicking ass all over the place... it was really cool the way the DJ's were set up on the top floor of the building, I love seeing them up above everyone rockin out.. that was cool. Lots of dancing here all night long. I kept making my way by there, and getting stuck dancing for like 30 minutes... it never failed.
Deep in the Jungle
Hard core! Hard core! (that's all there is to say)
A++++++++++ Rating for this one... folks, if you missed it, I'm really sorry, but you missed a doosie!
Worst thing about the night - having 4 of my banners that I worked really hard on stolen from the beat seed land area... that sucked!
Best thing about the night - having "all access" and hangin with AB, Quirk, David and Tracy, all the people with Massiv, Primitive Echo, and Spoonfed Tribe... they are all sooooooo awesome!
