    Another edition of Sean Sparks likes a show nobody else does: Kings

    Yes, it's political. Yes, it's about God and monarchy. But dammit, it's got me. More than anything, the eloquent pros are what's keeping me hooked. Listening to Ian McShane talk just makes my Shakespearian cock tremble, kicking up memories of a childhood spent earnestly waiting for "Taming of the Shrew" in the park in Fort Worth during summer.

    It could be because I have a creative writing soft spot for cracked fairy tales, and the bible is one classic that hasn't had a lot of decent revisitation or modernization.

    Most likely, however, it's probably the king's gay son who's frontlines persona borders on the evilest dungeon sadist I've ever seen on a gay male lead in a show.

    Kudos to them for making angry, sexy boys beating each other up look hot in a bible story. Oh, and Macaulay Culkin is in it.

    I love that show. I have only seen a few episodes, but its really good, I think its getting canned though.

    And yeah, like a lot of shows I enjoy, it's probably not coming back for a second season. This frustrates the shit out of me, because they let shows with almost no depth at all go on forever, because they're catchy in the first 2 minutes with stupid one-liners and goofy characters.

    Just about everyone I know who has seen this show loves it. Even my father. But the move to Saturday is killing me and they havent put up a new show since #8 on demand so I'm about ready to give up.

    Yea they're only going to finish the season then it's done. The fiance and I really enjoy it and were intrigued by Culkin being added to the cast.
